Brian J. Mhango
(M.Sc. GIS; M.Sc. Soil Science)
Mr. Mhango is a highly accomplished soil scientist and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) expert whose career spans over four decades of groundbreaking contributions to research, academia, and sustainable development consultancy across Southern Africa. With an exceptional educational background that includes an M.Sc. in Soil Science from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland), an M.Sc. in GIS from Wageningen Agricultural University (The Netherlands), a Postgraduate Diploma in Soil Science from the University of Twente, and a Diploma in Water Engineering from the University of Zambia, Brian epitomizes the synergy between scientific depth and multidisciplinary versatility. His expertise cuts across soil science, hydrology, climate change, and geospatial technologies—making him a sought-after authority in environmental and development consulting.

Enock Sakala
(Ph.D)
Enock Sakala holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from the University of Zambia, a Master of Science Degree in Environment from Shandong University, Jinan-China and a PhD in Environmental Engineering from UNEP-TONGJI Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development, Shanghai, PRC.
Enock is well qualified and skilled environmental scientist and engineer and a practitioner of sustainable development. He has participated on several high stakes project on climate change and risk reduction, sustainable agricultural production and food security: Future rural Africa perspective, Asia- Africa relations and sustainable development. And he has been a strong driver of change actively participating and providing services to local and international Institutions focusing on the ‘Future of Rural Africa’ with respective countries of Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, Angola and South Africa.

Orleans Mfune
(Ph.D)
Orleans Mfune holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from the University of Zambia, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Human Ecology and Master of Science Degree in Human Ecology from Vrije Universiteit Brussels (Belgium) and a PhD in Geographical & Earth Sciences from University of Glasgow (UK). Orleans Mfune also has a Diploma in Community-Based Climate Change Adaptation and Certificates in Environmental Governance and Human Ecology. Orleans has provided consultancy services to a wide range of local and international institutions including the World Bank, CIFOR, UNFAO, UNDP, Zambia Land Alliance, Inter-University Council of East Africa and the Government of the Republic of Zambia. His consultancy experience has been in the areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation, environmental impact assessments, land and forest governance, green economy and multifunctional agriculture.

Chilufya Kambili
(M.Sc. Sustainable Development Planning)
Chilufya Kambili holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environment and Natural Resources Management from the University of Zambia, a Master of Science Degree in Sustainable Development Planning and Management from Technical University of Dortmund, Germany and a Certificate Training in Water Sensitive Cities - UNESCO IHE Institute for Water Education, Delft, The Netherlands. He has wider skills in Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, Environmental Monitoring and Environmental investigation for adherence to national and international standards besides being dedicated to promoting sustainable development through mainstreaming of environmental management in development initiatives.

Pola P. L. M. Kimena
(M.Sc. Environmental Engineering)
Mr. Kimena is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of progressively senior experience in policy development, technical operations, and administration across various sectors of the Zambian government, including the diplomatic service. He played a pivotal role in establishing the North–Western Water and Sewerage Company and partnered with Loughborough University to implement a Water Supply and Sanitation Programme in Northern Province, which attracted Irish Aid support. While at the Ministry of Local Government and Housing, he worked with global financiers such as the World Bank, AfDB, and KfW to oversee major urban and rural water supply and sanitation infrastructure projects in Copperbelt, Central, and North-Western Provinces. At the Ministry of Lands, he led the successful implementation of the U.S.-funded Threshold Project, which reformed land administration systems and enhanced public service delivery, resulting in Zambia’s eligibility for Compact Status and additional development funding.
